The latest feature pack for MLO 5 Android is already out. In this post, we’ll take a closer look at one of the new additions: list of previous Zoom-ins.
This feature makes navigating large and deeply nested task hierarchies much faster, helping you stay oriented within your task tree.
How it works
Whenever you zoom in to a folder or project, you’ll see < > navigation arrows at the top of the screen. Use these arrows to move back and forth through your zoom history, as shown in the video below.
Long-pressing the Zoom-in icon in the bottom toolbar opens a full list of your recent zoom-ins.
Managing your zoom history
The list dialog includes an Edit button. Tap it to open the sorting settings.
By default, zoom-ins are sorted with the most recent ones at the top. If you disable this option, drag handles appear, allowing you to manually reorder zoom-ins in any way you like. In this mode, selecting a zoom-in won’t move it to the top - it will stay exactly where you placed it.
Each workspace can have its own zoom-history settings, so you can organize navigation differently depending on how you work.
You can access the list of previous zoom-ins either:
- via the Edit button in the focus selection dialog, or
- from the Workspaces screen menu.
Tip: If Zoom in functionality is your commonly used option, you can pin it on the toolbar. Long tap an empty area on the toolbar to customize it.
Enjoy!
