Prioritization technique 2+8

This technique limits you to only ten tasks per day. Two of them are objective tasks that must be done today. The remaining eight are tasks that are very desirable to complete today, but not critical.

When you limit yourself to ten tasks a day (not counting the routine tasks that simply need to be done on certain days, but which do not push your projects and goals forward), you are much more realistic about what you are capable of. This technique makes you be сreative about what you will do every day. It is also part of your daily mini-review.

Simple way to implement the 2+8 technique in MyLifeOrganized

You don’t even need extra effort to create flags or contexts. The best way is to use the standard weekly goals.

When planning a day, make sure that your task list contains at least 2 tasks that are your weekly goals. Such tasks are marked with an exclamation mark, so they are quite visible.

With weekly goals in MLO, you can easily identify the main tasks for the day. Make it a rule to do them at all costs, don't put them off for another day. Only then you will feel more productive.
